Our favorite band of fuzzy friends, The Muppets, are back in the upcoming film Muppets Most Wanted. Unfortunately for one of them, things aren't going so well. A new trailer is out for this sequel to 2011's The Muppets, due out in March of 2014, and it's really cute. I'd expect nothing less from anything Muppet-related.
So here's what we know about Muppets Most Wanted: Our beloved Muppets are traveling the world, putting on shows, while at the same time, a dastardly criminal mastermind, is pulling off huge jewel heists. The problem? That mastermind, Constantine, bears a striking resemblance to Kermit the Frog. Essentially, this little creep is Kermit's doppelganger. And yes, you guessed it: Kermit takes the wrap for Constantine's bad deeds.
Get ready to smile, because here's the new trailer for Muppets Most Wanted:

I see you smiling. It's impossible not to grin, isn't it? This Muppets sequel has it all: Tina Fey as a Russian prison guard, Ricky Gervais as Constantine's sidekick (aptly named Dominic Badguy, but it's French) and even Modern Family's Ty Burrell as a bumbling Interpol agent. Oh, and Sam the Eagle is now in the CIA. So there's that, too.
I loved 2011's The Muppets. Was it a perfect Muppets movie? No, but honestly, when it comes to these guys, I just do not care. The Muppets take me back to my own childhood, when I never missed an episode of The Muppet Show. I can still sing the intro by heart, I still watch all the old clips on YouTube whenever I'm having a bad day, and I've got a Swedish Chef shirt that I wear regularly that says - you guessed it - Bork!
This trailer features a vast parade of major stars all making cameos in Muppets Most Wanted, and is it any wonder? If I was a huge celebrity, I'd jump at the chance. Salma Hayek's in this one, and she's somehow caught up in The Great Gonzo's big indoor running of the bulls stunt. Heh.
I hate that we have to wait until March for this movie to come out. Hopefully we can expect a lot more hilarious trailers in the months to come. Until then, Wocka wocka!
