Meet the smartest dog ever!

New trailer alert: 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman'

I don't know about you guys, but one of the animated movies I'm most looking forward to in 2014 is Mr. Peabody & Sherman. I loved the Mr. Peabody segments from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show as a child, so when they announced a major motion picture based on this super intelligent, witty pup, I was thrilled. Now, at long last, we have another full trailer for the film - and it's adorable!

DreamWorks Animation has posted the Mr. Peabody & Sherman full length trailer on the official YouTube channel, offering all of us a glimpse at what we can expect from this 3-D, CG animated family movie. If this trailer is any indication, this is going to be a hilarious (and popular) kids film. I can only hope it holds the same appeal for the parents, because the Mr. Peabody cartoon segments from back in the day sure did.

Here is the new trailer for Mr. Peabody & Sherman:

MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN - Official Trailer

What do you think? It looks like a potential winner to me, and DreamWorks has really been on a nice roll in recent years. I adored How to Train Your Dragon and I also thought The Croods was super cute. I'd say Mr. Peabody and How to Train Your Dragon 2 are the two animated movies I'm most looking forward to seeing this year. Sure, some of the jokes seem pretty silly, but I have hope that DreamWorks will get this right.

It looks like Mr. Peabody, a Harvard-educated, brilliant pooch, can do almost anything - except keep his beloved adopted son, Sherman, out of trouble. When Sherman decides to use Peabody's WABAC time-traveling device on his own (in an effort to impress a girl, of course),  he breaks the rules. Mr. Peabody, Sherman and his classmate, Penny, must then travel back in time to set history right again.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman will open in wide release on March 7. I do hope this film is great, because I love the idea of a whole new generation of kids falling in love with Mr. Peabody the way I did when I was little.
