This Jude Law comedy looks dark and very, very raunchy.

New trailer alert: 'Dom Hemingway'

I'm determined not to let trailers slip by this time of year. We've got a lot of excellent films left to go in 2013, and one of them might just be the dark comedy Dom Hemingway, starring Jude Law. Law's movies (for me) are hit or miss, but this looks like a good one. Technically Dom Hemingway doesn't open in theaters until 2014, but I think this film is worth of a mention here today.

Here's the first official trailer (from the UK) for Dom Hemingway - and a word of warning, this one features Jude Law's bare backside:

Dom Hemingway Official Trailer (HD) Jude Law, Emilia Clarke

And yes, that's the incredibly hot and equally talented Emilia Clarke co-starring. From what I can gather, Don Hemingway (Law) is a serious screw up. Jude Law excels when he's playing a character we might not necessarily like, in my opinion. So what we have here is a cad playing a cad. Clarke, by the way, is playing Jude Law's daughter. I don't know about you guys, but this makes me feel super old. The movie also stars Demian Bichir, Richard E. Grant and Kerry Condon.

Essentially, Dom Hemingway is a professional bank thief who, after spending a dozen years behind bars, goes looking for the money he is owed for not rolling over on his mob boss. He's out of jail, fully prepared to resume his lavish lifestyle, and absolutely an obnoxious, over-the-top kind of guy in everything he does.

Dom Hemingway premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival not long ago, so I went hunting for some reviews. I love a good British black comedy, but I'm still not 100 percent on board with this movie - even though it's directed by Richard Shepard (The Matador). So far, this movie has a solid 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer.

What do you guys think? Does this one look like a winner?
