Okay Kickstarter supporters, this one's for you!

New and notable trailers: The 'Veronica Mars' movie

Ah, Comic-Con, how I love thee. While the 2013 Comic-Con has come and gone now, we're left to pour over the oodles of trailers and new movie footage unveiled at the convention. I'm still trying to catch my breath from all the reports that came out of this year's event. Last week I told you about the awesome-looking new trailer unveiled for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and now I'm going to tell you about another of my favorite new trailers: The one for the Veronica Mars movie!

I'll tell you right now, I'm a huge Veronica Mars fan. It was a great TV show, and I've thought for years that it would make a fantastic movie. Back in March, when fans of the show contributed a mind blowing $2 million to a Kickstarter project for a Veronica Mars movie (in just 10 short hours). I was over the moon with excitement - this was the first time I'd ever actually backed a real film. Never mind that my few measly dollars didn't get me anything special...I was just happy to join the party.

The first footage for the Veronica Mars movie was unveiled at Comic-Con 2013, with star Kristen Bell and creator Rob Thomas on hand. Here is the great new featurette for the film, complete with a big thanks from the cast to those of us who helped contribute to the movie.

First Look: The Official Veronica Mars SDCC Sneak Peek

I love the trailer and I especially love all of the Veronica Mars cast interviews. I couldn't agree more with Kristen Bell's assessment that, "Fans are cool, but 'Veronica Mars' fans are awesome." Here's a surprise: During the Comic-Con panel, Rob Thomas revealed that they'd just finished filming the movie, and it will be out in 2014.

We did it, fellow Veronica Mars fans, we actually really did it! What do you think of the first trailer?
