Technological affirmation for your paranoia that everyone is lying to you.

Lie detector apps for Android

National Honesty Day is April 30 every year. It's the perfect day to get something off your chest if you've been harboring any secrets. Don't believe me? I'll take a lie detector test to prove it. At least, I'll take one of these lie detector tests. These lie detector apps for Android are a fun way to make your friends think you know if you're lying or not. After all, we can do anything with technology these days, can't we?

Lie Detector: This app features a fingerprint "scanner" to determine whether or not you're telling the truth. As it scans the fingerprint, the app makes your phone vibrate to give the impression that it's really working. In addition to the app's built-in responses, you can also customize your own to really get your friends going.

Ultimate Lie Detector: If the lie detector doesn't meet your needs, try the ultimate lie detector. This, too, simulates scanning your fingerprints to find out if you're telling the truth or not. Don't try to let your finger simply hover over the screen without touching; this smart app will abort the scan unless your finger is on it. This app is supported by ads, but these can be disabled.

Radioactive Lie Detector: This is yet another thumbprint scanner. It seems the key to finding the truth is in people's fingers. Anyway, this also vibrates as it scans and gives a "truth" or "lie" response once the scan is complete. I like the added touch of the warning for using it longer than 10 seconds (because it's "radioactive").

Have you tried or been fooled by a lie detector app? There are a surprising number of reviews that rate the apps poorly because they're fake. Each of the apps listed specifically says the app is for entertainment purposes only, but perhaps I'm the only person who reads app details. Remember it's all in good fun. Don't use these apps inappropriately, as this third grade teacher did.
