Was Queen Victoria's surgeon Jack the Ripper?

It seems that every week we get new evidence in the mystery of the identity of Jack the Ripper. Following close on the heels of a police expert who declared that there was no Jack the Ripper comes new evidence in the form of a locket found by the accused's descendents. Many people had implicated the Queen's surgeon at the time, but does this prove the allegations?
