Strenuous physical activity linked to greater bone density in the elderly
Want better bone density? Shock them!
Concerned about your bone density? The best way to improve it isn't by noshing on calcium chews, it's by bashing them. Activities like running, jumping rope, and even walking will signal your body to build denser bone in response to the concussive shocks. By comparison, low-impact activities like biking and swimming do little to improve bone density. So get out there and mix it up!
