Video: Rare sighting of ball lightning

The phenomenon of ball lightning is well-documented, and has been recreated in a lab environment. But it has never been captured on video in the wild before now. A group of Chinese researchers was filming a lightning storm when they saw ball lightning rise up from the ground and float about 50 feet away before dissipating. Crazy luck!
