The truth about "before and after" pictures

There are a lot of ways that those "before and after" pictures are faked. This HuffPost blogger reveals one of the simplest: using just a few simple camera tricks (including posing, lighting, and sucking in his gut) he creates a whole "before and after" photo set within the course of just a few hours.

Another one I've heard is that they take a top athlete about to go in for major surgery. They take a picture of the athlete before the surgery. Then a month later, after the athlete has been disabled for weeks and unable to exercise, they take another picture. Then they flip those pictures. 

Sleazy, huh?!
