The story behind the demise of Flappy Bird

Like a lot of people, I wondered about the story behind the developer who pulled Flappy Bird from the Apple Store. After Flappy Bird’s crazy rise to success – at its height it was making $50,000 per day from ads – the developer announced that he couldn’t handle the stress, and he was deleting it.

Wired Magazine is able to offer some behind-the-scenes insights and long story short, the poor guy couldn’t handle the crushing burden of trolls and complaints. Can’t say that I blame him, really. It’s sad.
