Last week a 33 foot-tall, seven-ton statue of a giant mango went missing from the town of Bowen. The statue cost $90,000 and was stolen overnight. But how, and why?
A chain of local chicken restaurants called Nando finally confessed to having stolen the mango as part of a publicity stunt. Was the town in on the joke? Will the mango be replaced? We eagerly await the details of this bizarre heist.
