Simpsons voice actor Marcia Wallace dies

Marcia Wallace, the voice of Springfield's favorite school teacher Edna Krabapple, has passed away at the age of 70. Wallace's distinctive voice will be sorely missed. There is no word yet as to whether the show plans to retire Wallace's character, bring in another actor to do the voice, or have the character continue using only pre-recorded tracks.

I hope they let Edna Krapabble go with dignity, I think Wallace deserves that.
