Science proves it: internet trolls are awful

Most people probably suspect it, and now we know: most internet trolls are genuinely terrible people. A research team analyzed people’s activities on the internet and found out that people who enjoy trolling suffer from the “Dark Tetrad”: Machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy, and sadism.

I get some comfort from their findings that trolls represent only about 5% of internet users, though. Sometimes it seems a lot higher.
