New Lady Gaga single: Applause

Lady Gaga wasn't planning to release her new single "Applause" until August 19. But when a low-quality version of the song leaked on the internet, she scrambled to release a better quality version because... well actually I'm not entirely sure why. The song is as catchy as Lady Gaga's other hits (I am a fan). It's also unusually frank. Most artists aren't willing to admit their narcissism, but Lady Gaga is just putting it out there: she lives for your applause.
