Customs officials rule it a biohazard

Katy Perry album quarantined in Australia

11/13/13

When Katy Perry was planning out her latest album, she decided to embed seeds in the label, so that her fans could "spread the light" by planting the packaging and seeing flowers spring up in its wake.

This is a problem for Australia, which has extremely strict regulations against foreign seeds and plant material entering the country.

Sorry, Australian Perry fans: you'll have to wait for a local, seed-free version to come out, instead!
