Slate contributor Julia Turner asserts that Boggle is a better game than Scrabble, and frankly, I think she has a point. Boggle has a downmarket reputation, perhaps partly due to its cheap plastic components. (And Peggy Hill probably didn't help.) But Boggle moves along faster, and it rewards the longer words - unlike Scrabble, where you're better off playing the shortest word that gets the highest score.
