20 years ago this week, The X-Files debuted its pilot episode and basically changed television forever. These days we tend to take paranormal shows for granted, but in 1993, television had literally never seen anything like it (excepting a few paranormal-themed episodes of Unsolved Mysteries).
Happy 20th birthday, X-Files! I hope we can continue to grow old together.
