Hearthstone gets alternate (paid) heroes

After a quick teaser yesterday, today Blizzard announced that Hearthstone will be getting a new set of alternate heroes for their existing classes. From a gameplay standpoint, these heroes will be exactly the same as the current ones. The only difference between them will be entirely cosmetic – oh, and the price.

For example, you can buy Magni Bronzebeard, king of the Ironforge dwarves, for $10 as an alternate for the Warrior class. Bronzebeard is a well-loved figure in the Warcraft canon, but would you be willing to pay ten bucks to play as him instead of his existing character, Garrosh Hellscream? Bronzebeard will have unique emotes, and new animations. But the hero power effect is the same.
