Happy Star Wars Day!

Yes, it's Star Wars Day, thanks to today's date's pun: May the Fourth, get it? To celebrate, a lot of new information is being released about the new upcoming Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, which is set to hit theaters this holiday season.

Vanity Fair posted a bunch of new pictures from the production, including a great shot of the new villain, as well as CGI capture footage of actress Lupita Nyong'o filming her character, space pirate Maz Kanta, who will be entirely CGI.

JJ Abrams has also reaffirmed his commitment to practical effects, discussing his love of puppets instead of CGI creatures, and evidently officially confirming that Jar Jar Binks is dead.
