DP debuts new song teaser video at Coachella and during 'SNL.'

Get ready for Daft Punk's new album, 'Random Access Memories'

Just a few months ago, I attempted to explain my complete and utter obsession with Daft Punk. Just know that I'm a massive fan and right now, I can't contain my excitement. We all knew that Daft Punk's first album in eight years was coming, and now we know a lot more. Why? Because over the weekend, the French duo decided to thrill everyone with a video preview of a new song.

It really did happen, I swear. I speculated several weeks ago about who, if anyone, Daft Punk would collaborate with on this new album. The hope was that one of these collaborators would be none other than Nile Rodgers. Guess what? It's true! On Friday night at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Daft Punk revealed a (too brief) video snippet of the song "Get Lucky." On Saturday, Daft Punk teased fans even more, when the same snippet aired as a commercial during Saturday Night Live.

Guess what? It gets better: Daft Punk is also collaborating with the brilliant Pharrell Williams. You can check out the teaser here:

I am praying this doesn't get taken down, because my fellow fans, it will make your toes curl with excitement! We now know that the name of Daft Punk's forthcoming album is Random Access Memories. It's a done deal, and the album is already available for pre-order on iTunes, with the official release date set for May 21, 2013. Yes, that's next month. Eight years of waiting, and the new album is finally coming next month. Oh, and we also know, thanks to the Coachella preview, that Daft Punk also collaborated on RAM with Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas and Giorgio Moroder.

"Get Lucky" is, quite simply, an amazing piece of music. It's disco, funk and electronica all in one gorgeous-sounding, totally danceable track. If this is what we can expect from Random Access Memories, well, consider my mind blown.

I have to ask: What do you think about "Get Lucky?" Will it be the biggest hit song of the summer? I fully expect major success for the single and the album, but I'm such a fan, I'm not objective at all. I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.
