Chinese Technician Arrested for Broadcasting Porn on Billboard
It’s not often that I get to report on something that has a note of humor to it, so when I came across this latest bit of controversy in
The man, Yuan Mou is a repairman by trade. His job for the day was to fix an LED screen that happened to be located in a main railway station. When he was all done with work, he decided to kick back and watch a dirty movie on his laptop, The Forbidden Legend: Sex and Chopsticks. Unfortunately, his laptop was still plugged into the monitor. The result - the film played to the public for ten minutes before the people that owned the screen finally gave Mou a call and told him what was happening.
Naturally, people flooded Sina Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) with pictures of the fiasco and their own opinions on the matter. Many of them were pretty good natured about the incident, feeling sorry for a guy that was just trying to unwind. Others even suggested that they should make it a point to broadcast porn more often. None of these opinions managed to keep Mou from getting arrested, however.
There’s no word on just how bad the guy will suffer for his mistake, though I’m guessing he won’t be working at that job anymore. Hopefully, he doesn’t get serious jail time, although with
