Budgetary concerns
David Lynch bails on Twin Peaks reboot
This weekend David Lynch announced that he would not be involved in the upcoming Twin Peaks reboot. Lynch cited budget concerns, posting on Facebook that "not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done."
He also added that "Showtime did not pull the plug on Twin Peaks," and in fact, so far as we know, the show will go on - albeit without its original creator.
It is unknown at this point whether Lynch had already written scripts for the show, and whether or not Showtime owns the rights to those scripts. And will the original actors pull out of the project if Lynch isn't there?
And honestly, I don't know if this is good news or bad.
