Couple: The app built for two
Valentine’s Day – the obligatory day of romance – is upon us. Most of us will be celebrating with our special someone by going to a romantic dinner, seeing a movie, exchanging gifts, or one of the other tried and true Valentine’s Day exchanges. But what if you can’t physically be with your special someone? Perhaps you’re in a different city, a different country or a different continent. Don’t worry. There’s an app for that. Time and space are no longer barriers to love. Take that, physics!
The Couple app (formerly known as Pair) offers a private timeline for two. Here, you can chat, post videos, participate in live sketches, send voices messages, share your location or let your partner know you’re thinking of him or her with just the tap of a button. Video chat on your personal timeline via Facetime. Set birthday and anniversary reminders so you never forget your memorable dates. You can even take the “honey-do” list to a whole new level through shared tasks, allowing you to add tasks and see them crossed off when they’re completed.
Thumbkiss is a feature allowing you to move your thumb on your screen in real time. Your partner can then touch your thumbprint, causing both phones to vibrate. And nothing says romance like vibrating phones. The “Secrets” feature came with a recent update. This allows you to send for-your-eyes-only photos that only show when you touch and hold them. Concerned this may bite you in the butt sometime down the road? You can also set the photos to disappear after they’re viewed.
This app is free for both iPhone and Android devices. You can find them in the iTunes app store or via Google Play. And if you didn’t think this app could get any cuter, watch the video below introducing the app. It’s so sweet you’ll get a toothache.
