Cap'n Crunch has been lying about his rank

It turns out that Cap'n Crunch has been lying about his rank. He's not a captain after all - he's just a lowly commander! 

It should be noted that Mr. Crunch has taken to Twitter to defend himself. He claims that, as he is the boss of his own ship, he IS a captain. This is true according to maritime law: being in charge of a ship entitles a person to be referred to as "Captain." But if that's true, why wear the military jacket in the first place? I smell FRAUD.
