Three apps to help you throw the perfect shower.

Baby shower apps

Because my mind is on a baby shower kick this weekend, I thought I'd share some great apps that will help you plan a baby shower. You'll find a thorough checklist, an app for inspiration and even a non-sucky game to play. All of these apps are available for both iOS and Android devices.

Group Guess: If you like playing Taboo, you'll really enjoy Group Guess. It's played basically the same way, except the words are dedicated to babies and baby showers. Everyone at the shower is divided into two teams. Each team selects a clue giver to help them guess the word at the top of the "card" without using the forbidden words. When the word is guessed, another card appears in the app. This repeats until the timer runs out. This app is $2.99 for iOS and Android devices.

Baby Shower Checklist Pro/Baby Shower Planner: Are you a control freak baby shower hostess who wants to nail down every detail of the baby shower you're throwing? Here's your app! It comes with 125 pre-loaded checklist items to ensure you don't forget a single thing. You can add to the list or delete irrelevant items. Once the baby shower is over, the developers have pre-loaded lists for other things, too, or you can create your own customized lists. This app is $0.99 in the App Store and Google Play.

Pinterest: OK, so it isn't a baby shower app, per say. But these days, you can't throw a pin-worthy baby shower without looking at all Pinterest has to offer. There are pins for almost every baby shower theme imaginable, which is helpful for non-crafty folks like myself. You'll find ideas for decorations, games, crafts, cakes, pictures to take and much more. Sure, you'll feel somewhat deflated when your melon baby doesn't turn out quite as well as the picture you pinned, but at least you've found something that hasn't been done to death (yet). You can get Pinterest FREE for iOS or Android.
