Touring the wondrous and strange places of the world
Travelling doesn't always have to be about hitting up the local tourist spots or heading to that resort that everyone always talks about. Sometimes the best things in the world are the least known. I shall attempt to enlighten my readers to some of these exotic and obscure locales. Each day I'll focus on something different, according to the list below (at least until I decide to focus on something different).
- Monday - Urban Exploration: Sometimes the most interesting places in the world are the forgotten and abandoned ones. On Mondays I take a look at some of these, from old asylums to cities now completely devoid of life.
- Tuesday - The Ruins of the Past: The remains of ancient history lie scattered across our planet, telling tales of days past. On Tuesdays I look at some of the most amazing of these sites.
- Wednesday - Eating and Sleeping Unique: From the projects of the eccentric to the awkward embracing of modern culture, many of the world's best hotels and restaurants do not adhere to what most would call "normal".
- Thursday - The List: On Thursday I choose something either strange or beautiful (or both) and present a list of some of the best the world has to offer. From waterfalls to caves to whatever I happen to find, complete with pictures and links to more information.
- Friday - Celebrations: People throughout the world celebrate their holidays and traditions in unique and sometimes unbelievable ways. Sometimes they celebrate things that make you scratch your head and wonder why.
- Saturday - Grab Bag: Sometimes I happen by something interesting or odd that doesn't fit anywhere else in my schedule but is notable enough to write about. On Saturday I detail these other finds.
