Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition: Watch full dance videos online

One of the things that irks me about watching Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition is that the culmination of every episode is the dancers' performances, but you don't get to see the whole thing. Instead, each performance is intercut with reaction shots of the judges, the audience, and the parents backstage. Isn't "watching dance performances" kind of the point of the show? (Well, that and "watching moms fight it out." Let's be honest.)

Luckily, Lifetime has gotten its act together and has started putting the full dance videos up on their site the night after the episode airs. These videos do employ a lot more camera movement (including several dollying crane shots which make me a little nauseous) and editing than purists will want. But it still gives you the opportunity to watch the entire dance without the distraction of Abby's "I am appalled" face.

The Lifetime website also has a lot of video clips that didn't make it to the show. For example, this week they uploaded a clip where Abby talks about her experience wielding a big stick in the martial arts showdown. And - information I would have liked during the episode - we learn that it's not really a stick, it's a tube of foam rubber. (Thus, the only thing hurt when a kid gets smacked in the face is his pride.)
